🔧 Update v1.2 – Climb Animations & Pivot Improvements


Hey there, devs! 👋

These past few weeks, I’ve been working on new content and also improving the Itch.io page to make it more visual and useful. There’s now a “Work in Progress” section with real-time updates on what’s coming next. Now, let’s get to the good stuff!

🔧 What’s New in v1.2?

This update introduces 3 new animations that belong to a new category: Climb. You can now make your character grab onto a ledge or platform and slide along it!

🆕 New animations:

✅ Default Male / Climb Enter (4 frames)
✅ Default Male / Climb Ledge Idle (5 frames)
✅ Default Male / Climb Ledge Right (6 frames)

The last one is horizontally reversible to allow movement in both directions.

These animations are fully included in all formats: PNG frame sequences, sprite sheets (with and without trim), GIF previews, and the editable .AI source file.




📐 Improved Position Consistency

I've adjusted the vertical position of the character relative to the ground.
Now, most animations share a consistent pivot point, making them easier to implement without offsets. For hanging animations, you might still need to tweak the Y offset in your engine to fit your specific needs.
